WHATS ON!
Hi everyone
Well another year has started and so does the blucru fundraising
efforts for Variety, the children's charity.
This year my target is $8000 as my Mum is also putting in a car under
the blucru team. Mum has a 1966 HR Holden stationwagon.
This year my team include my good friend Champ, my cousin Wayne ( chief
mechanic ) my Mum Norma ( all round organiser) Brian Wilson or Jibbo as
he is know by ( campaign manager, engineer and motivator) and
Paul Craven ( head of Paediatrics at John Hunter Hospital ) and myself.
This year, as well as visiting schools each morning and lunch time our
two cars will be visiting the local hospitals each afternoon. We will
be making a presentation to each of the hospitals and to staff from
other hospitals.
Paul will be working hard teaching/ lecturing from an hour up to 41/2
hrs each night. This will be a significant donation on Variety's part
and I am very proud to be able to be apart of this.
Mum's car will be done up as an ambulance and my car will be the
transplant team. The shark will have some body parts coming out of its
mouth. Champ, Mum and I will be nurses!!! The boys will be doctors.
Lots of fun and games to be had I'm sure.
Andrew ( brother) is having a few years off but he is still chief car
adviser.
I have 2 major fundraising functions this, which I hope that you will
be able to be apart of. The Trivia night is on the 8th March and the
Opshop ball is on the 5th April. Please ring for more details.
